Grounded in a 5-year study of a citywide initiative designed to promote success and thriving among Black and Latino boys, this session will provide participants with a number of evidence-based strategies that help educators create more inclusive and engaging classrooms; cultivate school environments where students (particularly those who are typically marginalized) feel safety and belonging; and apply approaches to support post-secondary success among young adults. These strategies will help educators consider how schools and educational systems can be transformed through a racial equity lens.
