Cindy is a Senior Project Manager at UMKC’s Collaborative to Advance Health Services, serving primarily on the Peer Recovery Center of Excellence. Cindy has worked within the Collaborative since 2007 in various roles focused on Substance Use and Recovery. Cindy began as the Events and Logistics Coordinator for the Addiction Technology Transfer Center Network Office (NCO), managing all face-to-face meetings, trainings, and conferences as well as all virtual events. She is continuing this role for the Peer Recovery CoE. Cindy also assists on creating and updating the Center’s website and publishes the monthly newsletter “Recovery Reader”. Cindy’s passion is coordinating National Recovery Month events along with national partners in this field.
Cindy’s background is with hospitality and customer service. She has worked in the catering and restaurant field for over 30 years prior to coming to UMKC.
