Cortney Lovell

Cortney Lovell is a public health professional who currently services as a Director of Practice Improvement and Consulting at the National Council for Mental Wellbeing. In this role, Cortney provides project direction and other critical support to multiple practice improvement projects under the National Council's public health portfolio.

Cortney brings over 15 years of living experience, along with professional experience working within substance use, harm reduction, and peer support services. Prior to joining the National Council, Cortney worked throughout the US and abroad to expand mental health and substance use peer support training, credentialing, and integration through various roles and capacities. She actively serves on the National Academy of Medicine's Opioid Collaborative and the Foundation for Opioid Response Effort's Scientific Advisory Council. Cortney resides in upstate New York with her partner, three children, and pup.
