From Pillars of Peer Support, this report is focused on the role of peers in building self-management within mental health, addiction, and family/child health settings.
The Pillars of Peer Support Services Summit V was held at The Carter Center in Atlanta, GA on September 25 and 26,2013. The title of this summit was: “The Role of Peers in Building Self-Management within Mental Health, Addiction and Family/Child Health Settings.” A central goal of this summit was to expand the inclusive range of Peer Support. Services and include Recovery Coaching and Family Support Services. A primary focus was also to examine how self-management can be promoted through these services in health settings. This report includes an overview of key findings with supporting references, including the PowerPoint slides for the presentations made at the summit.
