Recovery School Academic Programming

This webinar is intended for anyone interested in the creation or maintenance of a recovery school. It is meant to introduce many of the nuances that come along with recovery school operations and supporting students in recovery. It will cover some critical elements of recovery schools including the importance of an enriching social-emotional and academic experience, meaningful incorporation of online learning, and the structuring of a recovery school to include both recovery elements and academic programming.

Learning Objectives 

• Participants will gain an understanding of the considerations for ways recovery schools can offer enrichment to their academic programs through quality curriculum, extraordinary school staff, and supplemental experiences.
• Participants will gain an understanding of the considerations for meaningful incorporation of online academic programming including platform selection, academic accountability, monitoring student activity, and offering supplemental support.
• Participants will gain an understanding of creating and maintaining a quality learning and recovery environment that cohesively works to first meet students’ basic needs and then facilitate growth in academics and recovery.
